It's nice to have work shown in one issue, and then to be quoted in the next in an article titled "50 years of Canadian design."
Talking about a time before computers I told editor/writer Ann Meredith Brown how back then a number of our clients told us that they had no idea how we were able to produce some of the work we did for them...and that they thought we were magic. Where as today many think anyone with a computer and the right program can "do that stuff."
I told Ann that's one of the reasons I believe designers today need an association. RGD Ontario is becoming an increasingly powerful force working for designers and their clients to, among other things, help show clients and designers how to work with each other to create "magic." |
