Our Melbourne Home is Sold
Rods Mum had her one hundredth birthday in September and decided it was time to sell the Nash family home. We all have a million wonderful memories. Memories that feel surreal now that there is a sold sign on the home we loved so much. Memories which include the time spent in the huge, breathtaking Nash back garden...where we practiced tennis, golf and high jumping and so much more. And the extraordinary garden there that was created by Virginia. Plus we are reminded of the history with vague memories of things like the underground family bomb shelter Dad built in the back yard during the Second World War.
The auction went well for everyone. The new owners are close friends of the neighbours. It feels good to be assured their new home will be loved as they move into this delightful neighbourhood. |
