Happy good news about a contest that Teya entered
After weeks (or rather months) of nerves, the Diverse Minds Book competition awards night finally came. Teya spent months editing her writing and illustrating the drawings and putting the whole book together for the contest. Teya’s dream came true. She won first place! $3,000. Her book is officially published and is placed in Toronto public libraries and Toronto elementary school libraries. In the photo she had her first book signing and was floating on air by the end of the evening.
