The Sultans Tent & Cafe Moroc
The original Sultans Tent (a Toronto destination for decades) closed in 2002 with the demolition and redevelopment of the Bay and Yorkville midtown Toronto location.
.....Nash and Nash worked with Cher (our daughter) and Ellis Knightingale who bought the rights to "The Sultans Tent" and established a location for the new restaurant at 49 Front Street East in the Toronto downtown theatre district.
.....Front of house we added a Casablanca style bar and named it Cafe Moroc.
.....Cher and Ellis envisioned creating a visually rich new Moroccan experience that reflected a fusion of traditional and current dining/entertainment styles.
.....Working to a tight schedule of a few months Cher, Ellis, Rod and Liz planned and executed the vision holistically through everything about the restaurant, from the interior design through all the many elements of the marketing communications (signage, advertising and collateral etc).
RESULT: From the day the Sultans Tent & Cafe Moroc opened everything worked together to create the visually rich new experience intended. Research & testing showed the sales tools proved to reflect that rich experience. The Sultans Tent & Cafe Moroc became a successful business.
The restaurant has been featured in Ontario Tourist Association TV ads aimed at attracting visitors to Toronto and the province. |
