1980s Canadian Company, Servicing Utility Companies, Partnering with a US Giant
Branding and Canadianization of collateral for an organization which serviced utility companies represented by Detroit Edison and the Canadian Probyn Group. We learned a lot from this interesting exercise. We were required to work guided by the Identity Manual of the very large Detroit Edison Company. For a designer, being asked to create collateral working to these specs (from a manual) was a wonderful way to learn about both the value and the problems such manuals can create. We were able to successfully use what we learned (pros & cons) in selling Identity Programs to Canadian companies. |

Working to client requests like this project also gained us relationships that lead to more work.
Note at this time, in cases like this, Canadian clients often asked us to incorporate a maple leaf into their logo :)
