1980s Helping a company grow from $7MM sales to $45MM…in 4 years.
Sentrol was a high tech company specializing in sensors and controls - moving into the computerization of paper mills. They had hired a design group to help with their rebranding, advertising and marketing communications. The 1st ad from this group scored lowest out of 200 ads in the top paper-making magazine produced in the US & seen around the globe.
The CEO learned we had a lot of experience with the pulp & paper industry. He fired the design firm and hired us. Before we started he said he refused to go through a new logo process again. Our Sentrol ads consistently scored in the top 10 ads in the same globally reviewed magazine. With this & the help of our integrated communications the company grew. Eventually they were taken over by a large European Paper Company. Oh Canada :( |

Above top: Cover and a spread from one of our 1st Sentrol brochures. Below: Some of our Sentrol ads & one of the award winning trade show exhibits we produced for them. A sampling from the scores of Sentrol communications we produced. We photographed their sensors, controls, and computers on location in paper mills from Thunder Bay to Victoria Australia (equipment dating from 1952 to the mid 1980s).
