WEC Logo (Early 1980s)
Largely hand drawn logo for Women Entrepreneurs of Canada. This was a time when designers were experimenting with keeping things simple but trying to be unique. This was because at this time the zillions of "modern" minimalist logos was making many logos start to look like too many others. An obvious problem. For a time "modernism" was running out of steam :)
But the "timeless design" of modernism will likely always remain because it has proven to work so well for so many long lived organizations. |
