1990s A Clever Street Signage Fixture by Ellis (Shown Here in Daylight)
Our son-in-law Ellis realized he could use existing space to place a poster board in front of Kalendar Restaurant. Hydro approved the use of their pole. And Toronto city gave Ellis an award for this, uniquely designed, idea and spoke of constructing these throughout the city.
Nevertheless this proved great for promoting events - including Kalendar events.

Unfortunately a later City council gave a design firm the rights to all street signage design and displays and that firm never followed through with this Hydro pole idea in other suitable city locations.
Nevertheless this Hydro pole signage fixture was allowed to stay in place for many years until Kalendar was sold.
