Esso Atlas Batteries (Early 1969)
Color and naming differentiated the guaranteed life expectancy (and strength) of the three batteries. The top of the line battery was polypropylene. With research Rod found that this whole battery could be red. And that is what he had them make it. Then the Wolf team created the name Red Brute. We understood the first production line was projected to sell out in 12 months. We were told it sold out in eight weeks. Perhaps people liked the idea of all red batteries in 1970. Or perhaps people liked the idea of a battery guaranteed for life :) |
