Volkswagen Catalogue 1969/70
Art direction, design and principal photography by Rod created a unique piece for VW Canada. A lot of it was aimed at women (see next page) because some research back then showed wives were playing an increasingly key role in what car to buy for families.
After VW Canada Advertising Manager told Wolf no photographer in Canada was good enough to photograph their cars, Larry Wolf said to Rod, "From what you have learned working for and being trained by Kodak in Rochester I know you can do this." He also sold VW on using a young woman writer for a car catalogue. So Rod, Monica McCormick and Wolf staff created this 32 page brochure for VW and then many more VW line catalogues & marketing materials in the next years. |
