Two Early 70s Magazine Ads Full page coloured ads. "Be a Fresh (read modern) young thing." Romantic, grainy and "real." It is the 70s. It was winter. Rod photographed the beach girl model near Fort Lauderdale. She knew & recommended the beach Rod had told her he was looking for. The Toronto tank top photo was the first non bra ad in Chatelaine. The girl in the tank top (the writer on the ad) had bandaids over her nipples. But even then it took a lot of negotiation with the magazine LOL. It was not just about being prudish, bra companies were major Chatelaine advertisers.
