David Cravit had just joined Wolf as a copy writer. As we left the meeting with Esso, David said, "Call it Ultra Marine." And taking a page from the Red Brute all red coloured battery, David suggested, "Colour the oil ultramarine blue." A great name & colour for a lakes or sea related product. Another feature, after research, was we had them release it as a 6 pack. This was new for outboard oil in Canada at the time. (But not for beer :) Outboard boaters got it.
